Red face

It is getting to the point that my personal budget will start benefiting from the sloppy AG QC department!
I am at the point of not wanting to buy anything till somebody can assure me that I will get what I want and how I want it!!!!
(Then again, there is always ebay and pre-Mattel stuff to keep me in the red!)

Couple weeks ago I went to AGPNY and got the Sightseeing outfit. Love it! It is so cute it hurts! The skirt is a bit too short, but Kiana looks darling in it (I would not let DD wear something that short... but that is just me...)
The boots were so difficult to put on! It is easier to fit Bitty Babies shoes on Kiana than getting these boots on! But on they went! So I dressed Kiana in it, and left for the weekend. When I got back to my office today, I find that the skirt has ripped on the side. Top to bottom, the whole seam!!!

AT the same AGPNY visit I got the Paisley Pajama. Adorable! Looks like what I used to wear to school way back when! However, the shoes don't fit, no matter how hard I try!!!

I got the HHS flowerpot less than a month ago but DD thinks it is "for babies" and did not even take it out of the box. Since shipping it back was going to cost me half of what I had paid, I posted it on ebay. Sold it. When I go to package it for shipment today, I opened the box (for the first time!!!) only to find that the little books and the chalk that should be included, are not!!!

I got Nellie's coat last week, and when I took it out of the box... one seam is not properly sewn (it will fly apart at the firt use!)

So here I am, an adult collector and therefore careful when dressing the dolls and checking for missing parts, with 4 items to return in less than a month!!!

AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

There is a drawer in the HH Flowerpot Desk that opens from the back - that's where the books and chalk to mine were stored. It's where the seat is.

I've had problems as well, I was so disappointed with felicitys riding outfit, the top of the outfit had so many raw edges and they weren't even cut straight. It's going right back, luckily AG has an awesome customer service, they are always willing to fix something if I'm unhappy (which happens frequent enough).

I just had a similar problem with an order, but not quite to the extent and frustration you've encountered. I ordered the Coconut party kit and favors, the rectangle glasses, and the skin care kit. The first thing I noticed was that the silly "Doll Cleansing Powder" is just baking soda! What a rip-off. Second, the box with the party kit is seriously dented and mangled on one corner, which dented some of the decorations inside. I checked the shipping box, and it had no dents at all, and it was not reboxed by UPS. SO, they actually sent it to me that way! Yuck! The third thing I noticed, was that the glasses have a black speck right in the middle of one of the lenses, which doesn't come off. So, I called AG. They sent me another party kit, and a free return label. They said I could return the doll cleansing kit in the box too. They also sent me out another pair of glasses, and told me I could keep the other pair; which is nice, because I was thinking about getting a second pair anyway to paint the frames black like a pair of my own glasses.

I feel your pain! It seems like everything I had bought at one time needed to be returned.

So far I've never had to return something from AG.
Kit's Scottie dog pin disentigrated on me (the magnet completlely fell apart) and they just sent a replacement.

We rave about AGs ability to take returns and replace product- but it seems if they are really making this many mistakes it would be better if they just sent out a good product to begin with.

See, I have yet to have an actual quality problem with an AG item. Of course, I doubt I would qualify in anyone's mind as picky when it comes to this stuff. (Though I definitely was at MCM). The real problem I've had is with UPS. I've had to send three or four things back because UPS dropped off my box, and it was flatter than a darn pancake. I always feel bad sending those things back, 'cause it wasn't AGs fault, but what good is broken stuff? I absolutely detest UPS because of the bad experiences I've had with them, AG and non-AG. I'm always so jealous of ya'll who talk about how much you love UPS. It's kinda like they go out of their way to smush MY packages. But I'm glad I haven't found a quality problem yet with AG stuff. (I couldn't even find problems with the stuff I got at MCM, lol).

I had very few problems until this last group of stuff. I couldn't believe all the problems with that new stuff! UGH! I still have one more dress to return, and I have spent forever on the phone trying to straighten this stuff out. I REALLY hope the carriage comes OK today because I don't want to have to mess with a 20 somthing pound thing that is a problem.

We are going to AGPNY next week, and I am going to try everything on before we leave the store. I probably won't get much though...just some exclusive things and a new girl, whomever DD chooses...it will be a mystery until we get there I believe!

I really do wonder what has happened, if the changed manufacturers or what...quite the problem...

I've had a few problems over the years--Addy's sled arrived broken, Elizabeth's bedding came stained, one of Kirsten's chairs arrived broken. Then there's the tea dress I kept because it does fit my Elizabeth, a slenderer Gotz doll. AG has always made good very quickly but it can be frustrating to have to return stuff.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed on the coach. DH has agreed to check it carefully as soon as it arrives and before putting it away for Christmas.
